Profile: My primary research and management interests are working toward conservation efforts of endangered species. I have a particular interest in native cavity nesting birds in the Bahamas as it relates to resource limitations. I have been working on conservation of the Bahama parrot since 2002. My research and management efforts for this species have included collecting information of distribution, population health and population genetics. I am also working with local and national organizations in the Bahamas to promote conservation efforts for the Bahama parrot. I plan on continuing my work with the Bahama parrot as well as other native cavity nesting bird species in the Bahamas.

The Bahama Parrot (Amazona leucocephala bahamensis), which is found on Great Abaco and Great Inagua Island in the Bahamas, is finally receiving some much needed management attention from the Bahamas National Trust, Friends of the Environment (Abaco) and organizations such as Parrots International and the Amazona Society.
